Lord of the Pies, by William Balding...

In English, our group have pretty much finished reading "Lord of the Flies."  I quite like it, but it is very sinister and somewhat disturbing.  So what can we learn from the novel?  Not to kill other boys?  The novel also emphasises pigs - through the character Piggy, the hunting and the sows head.  If you haven't read the book, none of this will make any sense.  Instead, books these days play much more to the interests of their audience - conscience of not upsetting people.  Perhaps, Lord of the Pies is more comforting for some.

Going back to my celebrity teacher thing yesterday, perhaps Frankie Sandford would make a fine music teacher ;)  Now girls, I am not sexist, so Justin Beiber could also work in a school, maybe as a janitor.  Happy birthday Justin anyway, have you hit puberty?

Ashley Cole keeps making the media headlines, but for the wrong reasons.  Recently, he allegedly shot a chap on work experience at Chelsea with an air rifle.  This was probably an accident, but Ashley, is what you did to Cheryl an accident?  Sorry for being flippant ;)  He is considered by some as the best left back in football.  He skills on the pitch and not translated to his actions off it.  If only he could have hit the target with Cheryl.  Meanwhile Wayne Rooney has avoided prosecution after his actions on the pitch against a Wigan player.  Elsewhere in the news, the unfortunate situation in Libya continues.  What is Gadaffi's agenda?

Enough from me now, I don't want to bore you,

From Ginger-Nut
